As of Friday, December 22, 2017, the Spotify service is currently unavailable on all Roku devices and TVs. The decision to change the service was made by Spotify.
The Spotify team has informed us that they are making improvements to the channel and expect it to return as a much better overall experience in the future. We appreciate your patience as we work with Spotify to improve the music streaming experience for you.

Q: Why can’t I use the Spotify app on my Roku device?
A: The Spotify team is working to make playing Spotify on the Roku platform better. In order to do so, our channel providers may suspend their channels as work and testing is completed.
Q: When do you expect Spotify to return to Roku devices?
A: Unfortunately, we can’t say at this time when Spotify will again be available on the Roku platform. We will work with Spotify to have their channel return in the future.
Q: Why don’t you wait to remove the current channel until you launch the updated channel?
A: The Spotify team is working to make playing Spotify better. We expect it to return in the future.
Q: Will the Spotify channel still be available in the Roku channel store?
A: No. Starting December 22, 2017, the Spotify channel will no longer be available. If you have the Spotify channel loaded on your device, it will remain on your home screen but will not be operational.
Q: Will the Spotify channel still work out Roku devices outside of the U.S.?
A: No, Spotify will no longer be available to Roku customers in all markets.
